Meanwhile, vehicles with this configuration actively developed from the middle of the last century and enjoyed the same demand in European countries. Here are the best and, as a result, the most successful front wheel drive cars in history. Each of them is so good that it could cope even with our “recalcitrant” roads.

1. Mk1 GTIVW
Today, the Volkswagen Golf I is one of the most successful front-wheel drive hatchbacks in history. For Volkswagen, the Mk1 GTI marked a new era of production that began in 1974. The car turned out to be so successful that at first the company did not have time to produce the volume of production necessary for 100% satisfaction of demand.

2. Mini
Mini subcompacts were created by the British company British Motor Corporation. The first car of the series appeared in 1958. This car with front-wheel drive layout was so successful that he could gain fame not only in civilian life, but also in sports, taking part in numerous races.

3. 4WS Honda Prelude

10. Integra Type R
