Five automotive innovations that will be released on the Russian market this fall.
2018 turned out to be rich in interesting automotive innovations. Some of them have already entered the showrooms, and some, despite the fact that the year is coming to an end, are still awaiting their release. On cars that should go to the domestic car market this fall – later in the review.
BMW X5
From November 24, sales of the fourth generation BMW X5 will start in Russia. The most popular crossover German brand new generation is built on a modular platform CLAR. The car has grown up in all directions, received a new design of the front with huge branded “nostrils” and a completely redesigned rear part.
And if there are no questions on the “front end” – it’s just BMW in front of you, then you can recognize anyone in the back of the new X5, but not the Bavarian car. A lot of changes happened in the cabin. Perhaps the biggest can be considered the appearance of a virtual instrument cluster. The speedometer and tachometer are now just pictures on a 12.3-inch display. In our market, the X5 will be available in four versions: xDrive30d (diesel, 3.0 l, 249 hp); xDrive40i (petrol, 3.0 l, 340 hp); xDrive50i (petrol, 4.4 liters, 462 hp); M50d (diesel, 3.0 liters, 400 hp).
BMW 8 Series
Together with the BMW X5, the heiress of the legendary supercar from the 90s will enter the domestic market. And if the new X5 fans took the brand ambiguously, then there are no questions to the “8th series” – a dream car! And this dream will cost accordingly. Modification of the 840d xDrive with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 320 hp and acceleration to the “hundred” for 4.9 s will cost 6.6 million rubles. The petrol version of the M850i xDrive with a “bit turbo-eight” with a capacity of 4.4 liters and a capacity of 530 hp starts at 8.3 million rubles.
Such a machine, perhaps, will be the full heir of the legendary “shark” from the 90s. The petrol BMW 8 Series is capable of exchanging the first “hundred” in 3.7 seconds and accelerates to electronically limited 250 km / h. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic, which sends the moment to all four wheels.
Renault Logan Stepway
Skill in our realities, so Renault decided to “pump” him and released a version of Stepway. The recipe, in general, is the same as with the Sandero hatchback: increased ground clearance to 195 mm and protective plastic lining in a circle. Also for the “off-road Logan,” they added a version of Stepway City with a 113-horsepower 1.6 engine and a X-tronic variator. Prices are still unknown, however, according to the logic Logan Stepway should cost about the same as Sandero Stepway.
Kia cerato
A new Kia Cerato in the fourth generation is expected by the middle of November. If Kia Ceed, which is already on sale, is considered a youth car, then the Kia Cerato should be enjoyed by a more “adult” audience. Be that as it may, the new Cerato has a rather bright appearance. Our car will be available with two engines: a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 128 hp and an aggregate of 2.0 liters per 150 hp. Gearboxes – six-speed “mechanics” and “automatic”.
Lada granta
The Granta family is completely updated. Cars got a new look in the corporate X-style. Also during the upgrade, a hatchback was added to the Granta line, previously known as Lada Kalina. Technically, cars have not changed. Still Granta will be sold with a 1.6-liter engine in three different degrees of boost: 87, 96 and 106 hp It will be aggregated with a five-speed manual gearbox or a “robot” with one clutch.
